In 2026, following multiple rigorous assessment rounds, Hong Ngoc General Hospital was once again reaccredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS) as a Surgical Education Centre under global standards. This achievement reflects the continuous dedication of the hospital’s medical team, along with the valuable support and professional collaboration of Facing The World, a UK based international medical charity committed to providing free surgical care for children with complex craniofacial deformities, and its CEO, Ms. Katrin Kandel.
Notably, Hong Ngoc achieved the highest level of recognition within the RCS accreditation framework, the RCS Centre Accreditation, awarded to institutions with comprehensive and well structured surgical training systems that consistently maintain professional standards in line with international benchmarks.
Rather than accrediting a single course or standalone training program, this designation provides a comprehensive evaluation of a healthcare institution’s capabilities, including the expertise of teaching surgeons, clinical training environments, quality assurance systems, and the ability to sustain long term professional standards.
As a result, not only in the United Kingdom but also across many countries worldwide, RCS accreditation is regarded as a prestigious benchmark reflecting both the quality of surgical education and the professional standing of a medical institution on the international healthcare landscape.

In its letter to Hong Ngoc General Hospital, the RCS acknowledged: “The hospital demonstrates strong governance, with a faculty of highly experienced surgeons, while consistently delivering high quality training programs across multiple surgical specialties.”

During the initial accreditation period from 2023 to 2026, the hospital organized nearly 20 programs, training courses, conferences, and workshops that met the standards of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS), with teaching contributions from many Hong Ngoc surgeons and medical specialists.
These efforts not only support internal surgical training activities, but are also translated into improved treatment quality for patients.
